You, Me, The World.

If it were up to millennials,
We would be living in a place with constant dramatic change.
If it were up to millennials,
We would be living in a place where some media bullshit is just,
Well, bullshit.
If it were up to millennials,
White picket fence and a saucepan would not be the ultimate dream.
If it were up to millennials,
Little girls would wake up every day without the believe that,
They could not go after their dreams and passions, and boys tease them because they like them.

But it’s not up to us millennials,
Because there are traditions our parents wish us to maintain,
And it’s not up to us millennials.
Because the world does not centre around us only, or so they say.
And it’s not up to us millennials, Because we don’t know what it means to struggle.
Hell yeah we know what struggle is,
And no our struggle is far more critical than not knowing what the Wi-fi password is.

But as millennials,
We struggle in ways that is completely different than yours.
As millennials,
We deal with the issues you left halfway, or even untouched many decades ago.
As millennials,
We try to solve our problems using the tools we know best.
As millennials,
We have been fed by so many bullshit it built our walls.
As millennials,
We seek to be better than our predecessor, without being a predator.
As millennials we are sick,
We have a healthy mind and body, but we are sick.
If it were up to us millennials,
We will heal.
You, Me, The World.
If it were up to us millennials,
We would invest more on the future of our kids so they can still see how beautiful this world actually is, despite everything.
If it were up to us millennials,
We would be making more art than war.

Heartbreak Warfare.

Gave a boy my heart, he took it for granted.
Just when I thought of giving love another chance,
He wasted my loving.
Said he wanted my love,
All I remember now is the sweet-nothings.

Been a month thought I was over it.
But the words unspoken is still inside.
So much to say, but I don’t even know how to say it anymore.

Said you wanted me to fight for us,
So I did.
Said you wouldn’t let me go in any matter,
So I believed.

But I stopped.

I guess it’s true when they say,
‘When heart starts second guessing, you better leave”
So I did.
And it’s also true when they say,
“You’re better off him, you’ll find someone who deserves you”
So I believed.

Glad I did and believed,
Glad I found someone who’d give all his TLC always,
Glad you didn’t ruin me,
Glad you came and taught me a lesson.

Cause now I know how to give my love kindly,
Now I know I deserve to be treated better,
Leaving you was the best decision.
Leaving you lead me to find my happiness.

Go. Away.

The sound of silence keeps you company at night,
You wish you can make these thoughts go away.
For they consume your mind,
And puts you in a place, where that is what you are associated with.
You wish you can make them stop.
But they wont.

They’re not gonna leave you alone.
As much as you’d like to not think about it,
There’s got to be something that reminds you to it,
Or someone..
You wish they would stop.
But they wont.

They tell you it’s going to be okay,
But you know you wont.
You know nobody wont.
Because nobody will ever be ready,
For whatever it is they say.

Thank You

They say, "it's better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all" I didn't believe in the saying until very recently.

By now you probably know the plot already, I loved a boy, but it didn't work out. For months I keep on asking myself, we were so good together why didn't it work out? Where did I go wrong? What is it about him that make me fall so hard for him, easily? I blamed our circumstances of living miles away from each other as the reason why things don't workout between us. Just like my previous relationships. But this one is different. We weren't fighting over things, we didn't have trust issues. We were just busy pursuing our dreams and goals. We talked, but because of the time and space obstacle, we forgot to maintain the momentum of our relationship. We simply just weren't in the position to be linked romantically.

I've just been trying to process everything the past couple of months. I've come to the conclusion that maybe the reason why I had met him in the first place is to learn how to love someone, so deeply anything else don't matter. He doesn't know this, but never in my life have I loved and cared for someone this much. This experience have not only taught me how to love another individual, but also how to love myself. He opened parts of myself I never thought I had. And I would like to thank him for that.

I don't regret meeting him, or falling in love with him, because it was great. And while between us now things doesn't go further than merely friendship, I still appreciate it.

I didn't fall in love with the wrong person, I fell in love in the wrong time.

Maybe next time it will be right, maybe it wont. Whatever it is, know that you will always mean so much to me.

Remember Us After the Dark (I Hope)

She waits and she waits.
With hopes so high she wishes,
Her phone to ring.
Never has she felt that way before.
She wonder if maybe everything was just,
Was all just an illusion…
But it couldn’t be, because it was true...
It was real, it was pure.
To this day, still she feel the truth.
She left, but she stayed.
On the other side she wonders,
If he feels the same way,
Or did she only fell for the idea of him?

The Boy Who Dislikes Strawberry Jam.

There’s a boy on the other side of the globe, with dreams so noble.
His heart is the purest I’ve ever seen.
He tries to be bad, but that does not work for him, because that is not him.
From the look on his eyes, you can tell that he really cares.

I like him for his pretty eyes, his scent, his charming smile..
Oh yes those gave me butterflies.
But I like him most for the little things that makes him, well him.
His voice on the phone, or when he sings in the car,
His attempts on trying to make people smile,
His lack of sense of direction and ability to follow local traffic rules :P
The way he sits,
The nervous touches,
The night drives,
Or as simple as his ways of ensuring that everything will be alright..

This boy on the other side of the globe, he is pretty special.
He knows how to uncover the side I don’t show often pretty well.
And he does it without me even noticing.
And I regret that time and space became a barrier for us, but I never regret meeting him.
Because maybe, just maybe, there is still hope for us one day in the future.

Chances.

What do we know about chances?

On meeting someone the second time.
On risking what we might lose.
On not replying to that message.
On being a coward by standing with admiration,
And not daring to say hello.

What do we know about chances?

 If we don’t take them.

 Time will reveal.

 If we let it.
