Thank You

They say, "it's better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all" I didn't believe in the saying until very recently.

By now you probably know the plot already, I loved a boy, but it didn't work out. For months I keep on asking myself, we were so good together why didn't it work out? Where did I go wrong? What is it about him that make me fall so hard for him, easily? I blamed our circumstances of living miles away from each other as the reason why things don't workout between us. Just like my previous relationships. But this one is different. We weren't fighting over things, we didn't have trust issues. We were just busy pursuing our dreams and goals. We talked, but because of the time and space obstacle, we forgot to maintain the momentum of our relationship. We simply just weren't in the position to be linked romantically.

I've just been trying to process everything the past couple of months. I've come to the conclusion that maybe the reason why I had met him in the first place is to learn how to love someone, so deeply anything else don't matter. He doesn't know this, but never in my life have I loved and cared for someone this much. This experience have not only taught me how to love another individual, but also how to love myself. He opened parts of myself I never thought I had. And I would like to thank him for that.

I don't regret meeting him, or falling in love with him, because it was great. And while between us now things doesn't go further than merely friendship, I still appreciate it.

I didn't fall in love with the wrong person, I fell in love in the wrong time.

Maybe next time it will be right, maybe it wont. Whatever it is, know that you will always mean so much to me.
